Scale RC Helicopter of the Blackhawk UH-60A military utility helicopter, with the mechanics of the Align TRex 700E RC Helicopter inside. Approx. 1.5m long fuselage with a 1.5m diameter main rotor disc.
Original gel coat fuselage taped up to hide imperfections and the beginning of adding markers for scanning.
Once the scan is converted to a 3D model, bulkheads, rails and supports for the Align TRex 700E mechanics and compartment bays for the electronics and batteries will be printed on a FDM 3D printer.
The outer shell as seen here without the tape will be printed in light weight 3D printer filament.
8 Wheel drive / Steering RC vehicle based on the Avtoros All-Terrain vehicle, for carrying the RC Helicopter flight gear and some fun in the wet season.
Electric motor, 900mm Long x 400mm Wide x 350mm high approx.
Designed for fabrication from Aluminium and Brass using a lathe and milling machine, and Nylon, Carbon fibre, ABS and TPU filaments on a FDM 3D printer.
